PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hydraulic hose which can be produced using an inexpensive apparatus. SOLUTION: A strip member 28, when reaching the end of a mandrel 30, is attached to attachment members 46 and 48. The rotation of the mandrel 30 is reversed, and the strip member 28 is wound continuously around the mandrel 30 to form a spiral reinforcing layer. Every time when the strip member 28 reaches the end of the mandrel 30, the strip member 28 is fixed and not required to be cut, and it is not necessary to use an expensive spiral machine. Therefore, the spiral reinforcing layer can be produced simply and efficiently using an inexpensive apparatus, and the hydraulic hose 10 can be produced simply using an inexpensive apparatus.
