<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge scraping device which is of a reciprocating-type sludge scraping device to be used in a sludge precipitation pond, etc. and also, is of a new structure with a capability of upgrading the replacement efficiency when the components have worn out. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Each of the sludge scraping devices, when deployed in a sedimentation pond, extends across its entire width, with constituent members such as a plurality of scraping elements 20 of stainless steel plate spaced to each other in the longitudinal direction, and a slider 22 of stainless steel plate which is fixed by welding to the bottom surface of the scraping element 20 and slides on a guide rail 24 of a synthetic resin which is laid on the bottom surface of the sedimentation pond. The slider 22 is of a two-plate piled structure of an upper plate 42 and a lower plate 44, the upper plate 42 being formed of a solid material throughout the entire length, while the lower plate 44 being formed of a short length material. Each of the lower plates 44 is tap-welded to the lower surface of the upper plate 42 at a slight interval, so that it is only the lower plate 44 that becomes worn out by a partial contact etc. Thus the upper plate 42 remains unhurt and the lower plate 44 has only to be replaced for a new one.
