PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discrimination method having a wide adaptation range capable of flexibly corresponding even to various spots without requiring skill by discriminating between the healthy part and abnormal part occurring in the body of a structure and quantitatively discriminating the abnormality classification of the abnormal part without relaying on sense. SOLUTION: In a method using a standardized response obtained by dividing the response signal, which is obtained by adding an impact to the structure of a measuring target, by the magnitude of the added impact, the latter period response or whole time response of the standardized response is used to calculate average valuesμ<SB>1</SB>andμ<SB>2</SB>and standard deviationsσ<SB>1</SB>andσ<SB>2</SB>at every quality classification in respective frequency bands, which use the data set of the healthy part and the data set of the abnormal part as a teacher signal, from the level value resulting from the 1/N octave band analysis of the respective signals of a signal set, the standardized distancesδbetween the quality classifications in the respective bands are calculated according to a specific formula (1), an arbitrary number of values are extracted from the large values within the values of the respective obtained standardized distancesδand the quality classifications in the respective regions of the structure are discriminated from the extracted values.
