<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail which is provided with a lighting function and is shaped like an arc. <P>SOLUTION: The handrail comprises a handrail body 1, a plurality of posts 7, and a connecting device 2. The whole of the handrail body 1 is shaped like an arc, and the plurality of posts 7, which are provided to support the handrail body 1, are established at predetermined spacings. The connecting device 2 is provided between the tip (the upper end) 71 of the post 7 and the undersurface 17 of the handrail body 1, and connects between the post 7 and the handrail body 1. Then lights 8 are provided on the undersurface 17 of the handrail body 1, and a power source cable (a cable) 9 used for the power supply to the light 8 is arranged in the handrail body 1, the post 7, and the connecting device 2.
