<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly perform work employing a loader work machine by preventing rearward visibility from being hindered by a hood during the work etc. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the loader work machine, a horizontal connecting member for connecting a pair of right and left supporting frame bodies to right and left sides is provided at the rear side of a cabin; and the lower side of the horizontal connecting member at a back end of a frame body and between the pair of right and left supporting frame bodies serves as the hood for housing an engine. The horizontal connecting member comprises a front wall plate, and an upper wall plate which is protruded backward from an upper end of the front wall plate, the upper wall plate of the horizontal connecting member is arranged below the vertical center of the cabin, the rear of the upper wall plate is inclined backward and downward, an upper wall of the hood is provided to close the side of a rear upper portion between the pair of right and left supporting frame bodies, a front end of the upper wall of the hood is connected to the rear of the upper wall plate of the horizontal connecting member, and the upper wall of the hood is inclined backward and downward so as to correspond to the rear of the upper wall plate.
