摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor in which the functions of an end plate on at least one side of a rotor core are effectively exhibited even when the equipped rotor core is formed by spirally winding a strip-like steel plate. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rotor 18 includes the rotor core 10 and a pair of end plates 12. The rotor core 10 has both ends each formed in a spirally inclined surface 40 having a step difference 42. An intermediate member 34 is clamped between an inner end surface 46 of the pair of end plates 12 and the spirally inclined end surface 40 of the rotor core 10. The intermediate member 34 enables the rotor core 10 to be imparted with a force of axial direction from the pair of end plates 12 without being influenced by a change in the circumferential direction of an interval between the inner end surface 46 of each of the end plates 12 and the spirally inclined end surface 40.
