Disclosed is a battery state detection device for detecting a micro-short circuit of a secondary battery.  The battery state detection device is provided with a calculation processing section (50) which determines a micro-short circuit of a secondary battery (200) by calculating the remaining capacity and full charge capacity of the secondary battery (200), and detecting that the secondary battery (200) has been overcharged on the basis of the charge capacity charged during the charging of the secondary battery (200), the remaining capacity calculated at the timing of the calculation immediately before the charging is started, and the full charge capacity calculated before the charging is started, and a communication processing section (70) for outputting the signal corresponding to the result of the determination of the calculation processing section (50).
