PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the setup of a wireless connection with an access point high in connection possibility without forcing a user to perform troublesome operation and also without applying an unwanted burden on a CPU of a navigation system. SOLUTION: When a vehicle enters a crossing, regarding a plurality of roads connected to the crossing, access points on a section road to the next crossing are retrieved. When the vehicle passes the crossing, an access point installed on a road on which the vehicle travels is specified from among the retrieved access points, and the setup is performed for wireless connection with the access point. The vehicle searches for a beacon from the access point and acquires various kinds of information from a wide-area communication network under the wireless connection with the access point.
