<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spent fuel storage rack excellent in structure strength without increasing welding parts more than necessary. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This spent fuel storage rack 1 has a plurality of storage cells 15 for storing a spent fuel assembly. The spent fuel storage rack comprises a bottom plate 41, a plurality of partition plates 31 that have notches 33 in its upper part and lower part or on its sides and are stacked in many stages on the bottom plate, and a plurality of side plates 32 for surrounding, from the outer periphery, the plurality of partition plates stacked in many stages. A plurality of storage cells 15 are formed by repeating the vertical stacking of the plurality of partition plates by making the notches 33a in the partition plates positioned relatively downside engaged with the notches 33b in the partition plates positioned relatively upside. The plurality of partition plates stacked in many stages are coupled with the plurality of side plates by making projecting parts 34 projecting from horizontal both ends in the plurality of partition plates engaged with holes 35 disposed in the plurality of side plates.
