摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage facility avoiding mutual interference of a pair of stacker cranes, without inefficient avoiding operation as far as possible. SOLUTION: While a control means controls the article conveyance operation of a stacker crane in charge of article conveyance, the respective travelling positions of a pair of travelling carriages of a pair of stacker cranes is managed to determine whether or not they are at mutual approach positions wherein the pair of stacker cranes may be interfered with each other for each set period, based on the detection information of the pair of travelling position detection means. If the respective travelling positions of the pair of the travelling carriages are at mutual approach positions, interference avoidance process for controlling the operation of the pair of stacker cranes is performed to position the pair of travelling carriages and the pair of elevating bodies at non-interference positions where the pair of stacker cranes do not interfere with each other, based on the detection information of the pair of travelling position detection means and the pair of elevating position detection means.
