<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve error correction accuracy, by stabilizing the accuracy of Viterbi likelihood to be generated, even if the field intensity of a reception wave is varied. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A receiving apparatus is configured, in such a way that a field intensity acquisition unit acquires the field intensity of a reception wave; a distance acquiring unit acquires the distance between the center point and a receiving point, in the constellation where an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing signal is represented by an in-phase component axis and a quadrature-component axis; a conversion unit performs respectively different conversions, regarding the conversion from the acquired distance to Viterbi likelihood, according to whether such a distance exceeds a predetermined threshold so that a threshold change unit then changes the threshold, on the basis of the acquired field intensity.
