PURPOSE: A tandem master-cylinder capable of keeping a vehicle stopped even if a driver does not apply pressure to a brake pedal is provided to prevent a vehicle from coasting when the vehicle starts on a hill. CONSTITUTION: A tandem master-cylinder capable of keeping a vehicle stopped even if a driver does not apply pressure to a brake pedal comprises a cylinder(110), a first piston(120), a second piston(130), a first compressed spring(140), a second compressed spring(150), an oil reservoir(160), and an inlet(117). The first and second pistons are located in the cylinder in a row and moves back and forth within the cylinder. The first compressed spring is inserted between an inner vertical section(115) of the cylinder and the first piston. The second compressed spring is inserted between the first piston and the second piston. The oil reservoir is installed in the cylinder in order to connect with the inside of the cylinder. The inlet is installed in the cylinder in order to connect with the oil reservoir. |
