AUTO RENEWAL METHOD FOR RIGHT OBJECT AND DEVICE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Automatic RO update method and device are provided to enable the watching of contents in which authority is limited through a digital broadcast receiver without blinking. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(150) stores partial RO(Rights Object). A broadcast receiving module(160) receives and decrypts a broadcast signal of a specific broadcast channel based on partial RO saved in the storage unit. A control unit(100) compares a residual authority period of the partial RO with a set residual period. A radio frequency unit(110) receives updated partial RO by forming a communication channel with the server.
