A filter frame for use in filtering gases comprises two half frames 2 each made of a grilled base and a peripheral surround of anglesection, of which one flange 3b extends in the plane of the base and the other flange 3a abuts the corresponding flange of the other half frame, a layer of filter material 8 being arranged between the grilled bases. Projections 7 are provided on the flanges 3b to grip the filter material. The half frames, made for example of moulded plastic or aluminium, are held together by studs 9, 13 secured in pairs of holes 6, 12 by means of an adhesive; alternatively metal or plastic screws or nuts and bolts may be used. Half frames of various sizes may be built up from standard angle pieces, cross pieces, and unions, Figs. 6-13 (not shown). |
