Method for filling empty or partly empty cash boxes for ATM machines has the following steps: removal of a first empty or partly empty box from an ATM, automatic or partially automatic filling of the first empty box in a mobile loading station while the box is being transported to a next ATM location. In the next location the full box is exchanged for the empty or partially empty box. An Independent claim is made for a mobile loading station with a locked housing with a first lock system for connection or insertion of one or more cash boxes and a second lock system for supply of money.
