<p>The present description refers in particular to a computer-implemented method (200), computer program product and computer system for checking updates of requested data when performing a data request across a network. The computer-implemented method may comprise:
receiving (210,220) a data request from a client (10) at a proxy (20), the data request comprising at least one address of at least one server (40) and first hash data, wherein the first hash data are at least partially computed from first response data retrieved from the at least one server prior to the data request;
in answer to the data request, receiving (230,232) second response data from the at least one server at the proxy;
computing (234) second hash data from the second response data at the proxy; and
comparing (250) the first hash data with the second hash data at the proxy:
if the second hash data are equal to the first hash data, then transmit (260) a null value to the client;
else if the second hash data differ from the first hash data, then transmit (260) the second response data and the second hash data to the client.</p> |
