PURPOSE: A composition for repairing damaged hair containing transglutaminase, amino acid binding material and peptide is provided to repair external and internal damaged hair and ensure anti-static, hair styling, smooth conditioning, and elasticity. CONSTITUTION: A hair treatment or conditioning composition contains a transglutaminase; a compound which is able to infiltrate into the hair and forms chemical covalent bond between amino acids; an amino acid, peptide, protein or mixture thereof. The transglutaminase is coated for maintaining enzyme activity. The compound is glyoxal, methayl glyoxal, diacetyl, acetoin, acetol, dehydroxyacetone, acetaldehyde, glycoaldehyde, carbonyl, threose, dehydroascobic acid, and cyclotene.
