PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perpendicular aligning agent for a liquid crystal from which an alignment film for a liquid crystal showing good perpendicular aligning property of the liquid crystal and having high voltage holding characteristics, low residual DC voltage and excellent printing property can be formed. SOLUTION: The perpendicular aligning agent for a liquid crystal contains polyamic acid and a polyimide which has organic groups having a steroid skeleton derived from diamine by at least 10% of the repeating unit and has >=40% imidization degree. |
