PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire restraining rotation of a discharge lamp in connecting the discharge lamp to sockets regardless of the outer diameter of the discharge lamp. SOLUTION: This luminaire is provided with: a cylindrical cylinder 1 formed of a material having translucency and surrounding a light emission part of the discharge lamp L; the sockets 2 respectively connected to the discharge lamp L; two holders 3 each housing the socket 2 for closing both ends of the cylinder; and guide bodies 4 for guiding the discharge lamp L in connecting the discharge lamp L to the sockets 2. Six guide projections 43 each projecting inward relative to other parts are formed on the inside surface of each guide body 4 by arranging their positions at 60°intervals. When the discharge lamp L is connected to the sockets 2, the discharge lamp L is guided by two pieces of the guide projections 43 regardless of the outer diameter of the discharge lamp L, whereby the rotation of the discharge lamp L is restrained. Thereby, a work for connecting the discharge lamp L to the sockets 2 is facilitated as compared with the case without forming the guide projections 43. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
