PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing curcumin is provided to promote regeneration epithelium in injured corneal and to prevent or treat atopic dermatitis, androgenic alopecia or acne. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating ophthalmic disease or dermatitis contains a pharmaceutical effective amount of curcumin and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The curcumin is a main pigment ingredient of turmeric extracted from roots of Curcuma longa. A daily dose of the pharmaceutical composition is 0.001-2000 mg/kg(weight).
