<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery with a large capacity and a high output. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte battery 10 is provided with a negative electrode 14 made of lithium metal foil and a positive electrode 16 arranged to face with each other with a nonaqueous electrolyte 18 in-between. The positive electrode 16 is manufactured in a process in which a conductive material 16b and a binder 16c are mixed and the same is press-formed together with a nickel mesh 16a of a current collector.
