摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability at high temperatures while maintaining performance such as charge-discharge capacity, a rate characteristic and a cycle characteristic in high performance by heat-treating a lithium transition metal composite oxide in the presence of a metal salt of an organic acid. SOLUTION: A lithium transition metal composite oxide is used as a material to be treated. Manganese, cobalt and nickel can be offered as transition metals constituting the composite oxide together with lithium. At least one kind selected from a group comprising lithium manganate, lithium, cabaltate and lithium nickelate can be offered as a specific lithium transition metal composite oxide. The carbon number of an organic acid to be used is normally 6 or more, preferably 12 or more, and normally 50 or less. A heat treatment is carried out at a temperature higher than the melting point or the decomposition temperature of an organic acid metal salt to be used, and is performed at a temperature lower than a decomposition of temperature the lithium transition metal composite oxide. Specifically, 400-850 deg.C is desirable.
