<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current sensor capable of current sensing (differential sensing) on the basis of differential values of magnetic vectors in spite of a simple constitution, and provide its current sensing method. <P>SOLUTION: An integrated chip CP1 is arranged as a differential sensing type current sensor in such a way as to be between two parallel lines BB1 and BB2 made of bus bars (bodies to be detected). The chip CP1 is specifically arranged with the line BB2 on the surface side and the line BB1 on the back side in a level-difference space S provided between the two lines BB1 and BB2. Magnetic vectors in reverse directions generated due to the flow of currents (currents in the same direction in both lines) through the lines BB1 and BB2 are separately sensed by vertical Hall devices TH1 and TH2 mounted to the integrated chip CP1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
