<p>Disclosed is a method and a device for detecting a facial feature. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a digital image comprising a plurality of color pixels, each of the color pixels comprising color information; identifying a face segment comprising a face region based on the color information; using symmetry within the face segment to identify a centerline to substantially bisect a human face section within the face segment; and using the centerline as a locator to segment facial feature regions of the human face section.
