PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device of a kitchen counter which has excellent design, which is mounted to a back guard of the kitchen counter for lighting the front. SOLUTION: The illumination device 1 provided on the kitchen counter 2 comprises a lighting lamp 11 and a lighting lamp cover 12 removably covering the lighting lamp 11. A rear edge of the kitchen counter 2 is raised so as to integrally form the back guard 3, on which the illumination device 1 is arranged. The lighting lamp 11 is mounted along a longitudinal direction of a supporting piece 31 projecting forward from an approximate center part of the back guard 3.
