PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation structure capable of diminishing a load of floating-up force of an upper structure to a base isolation device based on a falling down direction rotation moment, reducing a tensile force in a superposing direction applied to the base isolation device, reducing a rocking of the upper structure and early damping the rocking even if the rocking is generated. SOLUTION: The base isolation structure 1 is provided with a bridge pier 2; a base 3; a laminated rubber 4 interposed between the bridge pier 2 and the base 3 and supporting the bridge pier 2 on the base 3 in base isolation; and a damper 7 expandable/shrinkable in an A direction of which one end 5 is rotatably connected to the bridge pier 2 and the other end 6 is rotatably connected to the base 3 and which damps a rocking in an R direction of the bridge pier 2 on the base 3. |
