<p>There is provided a universal pipe joint comprising a socket joint having a socket at one end thereof and a spigot socket having a spigot at one end thereof, said socket and spigot having mating spherical inner and outer surfaces in part, respectively whereby said socket and spigot being swivellable relative to each other, said universal pipe joint further comprising, within the space defined by said socket and said spigot, annular inner wall members for approximating the cross-sectional area of said space to the cross-sectional area of the straight pipe portions of joints, said inner wall members being swivellable to follow the swivel motion between said socket and said spigot.</p> |
