<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition for a golf ball that is suitable for pressure molding, is excellent in productivity without decreasing the speed of vulcanization, can obtain moldings with high reactivity having proper hardness and has excellent reactivity. SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a golf ball and the golf ball formed of the composition having the feature that a mercaptan represented by (D) formula R-SH (wherein R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group except a 3-25C aromatic group) of 0.1 to 5 parts by mass is compounded to a base material rubber of 100 parts by mass are provided, in the rubber composition for the golf ball compounded of (A) the base material rubber, (B) a metal salt of an unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or an unsaturated carboxylic acid, zinc oxide and (C) an organic peroxide.</p> |
