The separating container comprises a first line adapter (14) arranged near its upper end for withdrawing gas, a second line adapter (16) for withdrawing fluid arranged near the lower end, and a third line (13) adapter arranged between the first and the second line adapters for introducing gas-/fluid mixture emerging from an electrolyser. The container comprises a cyclone separator (26) that forms a part of the container. The third line adapter flows into the area of the cyclone separator tangential into the interior of the container. The interior contour is widened towards bottom and forms a supply container for the fluid. The bulge and gradation are arranged over the second line adapter in the area of the supply container. A further line adapter is equipped for filling the supply container and is arranged in the area of the supply container. The container is formed from a tubular interior contour component and two lids. In the area of the supply container, level sensors are arranged. A gas sensor is arranged in a recess of the supply container. An independent claim is included for a device for gas production with electrolyser.
