PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase freedom of design by bringing an outer diameter of a reel seat to have an easily gripping shape and provide the reel seat for holding a main fishing rod having a large size. SOLUTION: This reel seat is constituted of an inner cylindrical material 21 and an outer cylindrical material 22. The inner cylindrical material 21 is constituted of a material having high mechanical strengths and the outer cylindrical material is constituted of ply wood, or the like. The main fishing rod 11 is held with the inner cylindrical material 21, while the outer cylindrical material 22 is constituted as an ornamental part of the inner cylindrical material 21 and is formed in a C shape in its cross section.
