Disclosed is a process for producing a sugar chain derivative from a sugar chain mixture, which comprises a step (a) for obtaining a mixture of sugar chain derivatives by introducing a fat-soluble group into a sugar chain in the sugar chain mixture, and a step (b) for processing the mixture of sugar chain derivatives by serotonin affinity column chromatography.
