PURPOSE: A composition containing rice husk ash as an active ingredient is provided to suppress the IgE synthesis, reduce total skin thickness and prevent and treat allergy. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating contact dermatitis or atopic dermatitis contains fine powder of rice husk ash as an active ingredient. A method for preparing the rice husk ash comprises: a first step of directly roasting rice husk at 300°C-600°C for 40 to 120 minutes; and a second step of pulverizing the crude rice husk ash at 1,000 mesh for one hour. The allergy includes anaphylaxis, allergic rhinitis, asthma, allergic conjunctivitis, allergic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, and contact dermatitis.
