PURPOSE: A steel wire for a bearing and a manufacturing method thereof, a heat treatment method for a bearing, a bearing, and a soaking method for bearing billets are provided to achieve good quality of the bearing by removing segregation inside the billets. CONSTITUTION: A heat treatment method for a bearing comprises a step of quenching a bearing-shaped steel part containing carbon 0.50~1.20wt.% and silicon 1.0~2.0wt.%, and a step of partitioning the part at a temperature of Ms-100°C~Ms over 10 minutes, wherein Ms is the transformation start temperature of martensite.
