The invention relates to a catalytic gas treatment device. The inventive device consists of: (i) a monolithic support (11) comprising channels (12) for the passage of a gas stream and active treatment particles which are deposited on the monolithic support (11), and (ii) electrodes (13, 14) for generating a discharge plasma which is disposed on either side of the monolithic support (11). Each electrode (13, 14) is disposed in a plane that is transverse to the gas stream passage channels (12), other gas stream passages (20) being disposed perpendicularly to the plane of the electrode (13, 14). Moreover, a space (21) is provided between the plane of the electrode (13, 14) and the monolithic support (11). The invention can be used, in particular, to equip a gas duct (23) belonging to a domestic cooker hood.
