PURPOSE: A high efficiency discharge lamp is provided to maximize the efficiency of power consumption by maximizing the usage efficiency of an ultraviolet ray generated in a discharge tube. CONSTITUTION: In a high efficiency discharge lamp, a first tube(110) seals a mercury therein. A second tube(120) is inserted into the first pipe. A fluorescent layer(130) is formed on inner wall of the second tube and the first tube. A fixing unit(140) holds the second pipe inside the first pipe.
