PURPOSE: A steel material labeling method at a steel material labeling system is provided to improve the sharpness of marking by performing the marking process with multiple nozzles repeatedly. CONSTITUTION: A steel material labeling system comprises the following: an image forming unit forming an image file based on the information of the size of a steel material, or images or words to mark; a nozzle controller controlling the opening and the closing of multiple nozzles formed on an ink head in cornerwise, using the image file; and a head transfer control unit controlling a marker to move the ink head by the speed of the steel material. The nozzle controller comprises an Ink head position recognizer(239), a nozzle opening and closing controller(241), and a driving unit(243) opening and closing the nozzle by the control of the nozzle opening and closing controller.
