PURPOSE: A composition for improving hair styling is provided to simply make hair style in permanent wave and straight without irritation to scalp or hair. CONSTITUTION: A composition for improving hair styling in permanent wave and straight setting contains 0.1-30 weight% of reducing agent, 0.1-10 weight% of alkali agent, 20-30 weight% of alcohol, 0.10-20 weight% of moisturizer, 0.1-10 weight% of emulsifier, 0.0001-5 weight% of hydrolyzed silk protein, 5-10 weight% of Portulaca oleracea, 5-10 weight% of henna extract, and 5-10 weight% of Polygonum multiflorum Thunb. The composition additionally contains Swertia pseudochinensis Hara extract, green tea extract or Indian gooseberry extract. The composition further contains pantenol, phytantriol, tocopheryl acetate or olive oil.
