The device has an injection head (2) mounted on a filling orifice of a gas cylinder (8). A supply pipe (3) directly connects a gas source (1) to the injection head so that pressure in the supply pipe is equal to total pressure of the gas source. The injection head has a gas expansion unit i.e. expansion valve, that is provided with a calibrated orifice. The gas expansion unit assures supersonic acceleration of a gas flow and cooling of gas at the level of the filling orifice of the gas cylinder, in a simultaneous manner.
