The amplifier (1) has a circular shell receiving a soundproofing shield (40) on outside. The shield has half-shells (42, 44) adjusted according to a connection surface passing via a plan including an axis of the amplifier for completely enclosing the circular shell. A connection unit formed of a hinge (46) and a fastening tab (50) maintains the half-shells together. The hinge connects the half-shells in a permanent manner, where the half-shells are formed from a single piece by molding of insulating material. The tab has a Velcro(RTM: hook and loop fastener) type fastening device.
