PURPOSE: A digital camera and a control method thereof are provided to acquire images of high definition by static photography of a subject and moving a photography point according to movement of a dynamic subject. CONSTITUTION: An optical unit(100) picks up a subject image on the image pickup surface. An image sensor(120) converts the subject image into an electrical image signal. An analog front end circuit(130) converts an output signal of the image signal into a quantized digital image signal. A camera DSP(Digital Signal Processor)(150) outputs a control signal by a drive actuator(180). The drive actuator moves a correcting lens(110) to a target position.
