PURPOSE: A composition containing a silk peptide as an active ingredient for preventing or treating diabetes is provided to reduce blood sugar and prevent change of organ weight. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating diabetes contains anti-diabetes active material with Gly-Tyr-Gly sequence as an active ingredient. The silk peptide is extracted using a protease. The average molecular weight of the anti-diabetes is under 1000. The average molecular weight of the anti-diabetes is 200-400.
