The method involves allowing an apparatus comprising a chromatographic column to pass through a solution and obtaining a chromatogram of the solution. A local time space model to transport the molecules across the chromatogram is used for expressing modeled chromatograms associated to species, where the model includes an evolution equation of concentration of molecules of species. A digital inversion operation to interfere values of chromatogram of the solution and values of modeled chromatograms is performed to determine the concentration.
