The desk (1) has a base (2) and a display shelf (3) connected by a support assembly that includes flexible self-supporting rods anchored in the base, where the base is constituted by a plate. The self-supporting rods are constituted by four shelf rods (4A-4D) anchored on a front part of the base and by an inclination rod (5) anchored on a rear part of the base. The shelf rods and the inclination rod are connected to an upper spreader (6) that is placed above the display shelf. The shelf rods support the display shelf and pass through the display shelf by aligned orifices.
