The battery (1) has a compartmentalized container (2) in which each compartment receives accumulator elements (20). Each accumulator element has a stack of electrodes connected to two connection parts (21) for assuring their paralleling. An immobilization part (30) made of plastic material is arranged in the compartment for immobilizing the corresponding accumulator element. The immobilization part is fixed to the connection parts, and is interposed between the stack of electrodes and an adjacent partition of the compartment. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a battery.
