PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof are provided to compensate a charge sharing period by partitioning the charge time of data into a plurality of charge time. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a data driver(102), an LCD panel(100), and a timing controller. The data driver drives a dataline. The LCD panel comprises a first sub pixels charging data which has an opposite polarity to a previous horizontal period and a second sub pixels charging data which has a same polarity to a previous horizontal period. The timing controller generates compensation data and supplies the data to the data driver in order to compensate data corresponding to one charge period.
