OPTICAL ADD DROP MULTIPLEXER, AND OPTICAL LEVEL ADJUSTMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce level deviation between drop signal lights to be output by a wavelength selection switch or a divider provided on the drop side in an optical add drop multiplexer.

SOLUTION: The optical add drop multiplexer includes: an optical splitting means for splitting input signal light; a drop signal light separating means for inputting one of the signal light split by the optical splitting means, performing wavelength separation of the signal light, and outputting the signal light of a specific wavelength as the drop signal light; and an add signal optical multiplexing means for inputting the other signal light split by the optical splitting means, inputting an add signal light, and performing wavelength multiplexing of the signal light excluding the drop signal light from the input signal light and the add signal light. The optical add drop multiplexer further includes an optical level adjusting means for equalizing levels between drop signal light included in the signal light to be input to the drop signal light separating means.
