<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image display device capable of efficiently and properly bonding a panel, even when a light-shielding layer exists. <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic image display device includes: an image display panel 1 that displays right-eye images and left-eye images in a regularly mixed pattern in a plane; a retarder 3 including right-eye-image display portions 3a and left-eye-image display portions 3b, that cause polarization so that the right-eye images and the left-eye images have different polarization states; the light-shielding layer 4 disposed between the image display panel 1 and the retarder 3 so as to correspond to regions including boundaries between the right-eye-image display portions 3a and the left-eye-image display portions 3b; a dummy light-shielding layer 10 formed on the same layer as the light-shielding layer 4, so as to surround the circumferential side of a place where the light-shielding layer 4 is disposed; and a bonding agent layer 5 bonding the image display panel 1 and the retarder 3, in such a state that the light-shielding layer 4 and the dummy light-shielding layer 10 are interposed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
