<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorber for diagnostic agents that is an absorber for extracorporeal diagnostic agents, is especially used for a simplified inspection agent of a flow through method, does not block coloring of a membrane film, and allows for short-time processing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a device that injects a diluted specimen liquid after allowing a labeled antibody to react with a sampled specimen while the inside of the device comprises a membrane film for immobilizing the specimen and an absorber, the absorber is a structure comprising at least two layers and is thicker than 10 mm, has a density of not more than 0.1 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, and has a water absorbency of not less than 8, and the first layer abutting on the membrane film of the absorber has a thickness of not more than 1 mm, a density of not more than 0.2 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, and a water absorbency of 3-10.
