<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method capable of measuring or detecting an inspection material in a sample quickly, easily and highly accurately by utilizing immune agglutination. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This method for detecting existence of a biological specific reactant includes steps for: (A) inserting reaction liquid containing the inspection material and carrier particles into a reaction part of a sensor; (B) applying a voltage to sample liquid and the reaction liquid containing the carrier particles; (C) detecting the ratio between aggregation and dispersion of a carrier particle group in the process (B); (D) stopping the voltage applied in the process (B); (E) detecting the ratio between aggregation and dispersion of the carrier particle group; and (F) detecting existence of the biological specific reactant in the sample liquid based on both a result detected in the process (C) and a result detected in the process (D).
