PURPOSE: A mobile terminal with a flexible display unit and a control method thereof are provided to sense bending of the flexible display unit to change contents of a picture displayed on a display area. CONSTITUTION: If one area of a flexible display unit is bent, a sensing unit senses a bent area(S220). The flexible display unit is bent toward the first direction(S230). Next data is displayed when one of image data, video data and text data is displayed on a display area(S240). The flexible display unit is bent toward the second direction. Previous data is displayed or executed when one of data is displayed on the display area(S250).
